He married Amanda (COFFIN) CHAMBERS on Apr. 6, 1858; Amanda was the widow of Theron CHAMBERS and d/o M.S. and Elizabeth (WILTSE) COFFIN of NY and later WI; M.S. COFFIN d. at ae 76 in Sherman Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI and Elizabeth d. at ae 73 in Charles City, Iowa at her son's home - J.S. Coffin. Amanda COFFIN was the 2nd of 11 children; b. 1 Dec, 1831 near Albany, NY, m. 1 Francis A. CHAMBERS, 1 daughter - Frances - md. John ROBBINS and she died at ae 37 y on 18 Jan., 1888, leaving 2 sons, Charles and Jesse ROBINS. James and Amanda CRAWFORD had son Norman, b. 25 Feb., 1870 and he and his nephew, Charles Robbins, were in Washington and in the employ of his uncle, Stephen COFFIN, as bookkeepers)

From the research of Lyn Wilson, Harrisburg, PA, 2000 - Morgan Ketcham was the son of Joseph Ketcham (b. 12 September, 1777; married Alida VAN NESS, who was baptized 17 November, 1784 at the Schagticoke Reformed Dutch Church, Rensselaer Co., NY.) Alida (also k/a Aeltje or Olive) was the daughter of Johannes VAN NESS and Aeltje FRANCISCO. Aeltje Francisco was a daughter of Johannes Francisco and Aeltje DOREMUS.
BUDGET - John FRANCISCO md. 30 Apr., 1744 Alida, Aeltje/Altie/Olive DOREMUS; Joseph Ketcham was the s/o Daniel Ketcham and d. in 1853.
HSJCM – Laura A. JENKS KETCHAM was b. July 26, 1812 in Monroe, CT, d/o George and Hannah (CHURCH) JENKS. Hannah was b. in Granville, Massachusetts on Jan. 16, 1776 and md. 1st Josiah POWERS in 1799 and md. 2nd George JENKS on 29 Sept., 1811. She was d/o Josiah and Mariah CHURCH. Morgan and Laura Ketcham's daughter, Mary Louise, was b. 1851 and m. Thomas HAAS, who was b. in 1847 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, s/o Samuel and Helen (WASHBURN) HAAS. Their son, Edward LeRoy HAAS, was born in 1891, md. in 1912 Minnie Pauline ? and d. in 1968 in Three Rivers, MI)

Ion Vernon was b. in Bow, NH on July 17, 1827 and md. Dec. 10, 1859 Agnes WOOD (b. Mar. 5, 1841). he d. Apr. 16, 1893 in Three Rivers. He was in MI by 1854 after attending Harvard in 1851 -1852. He came to Three Rivers in 1865 and received his degree at Bennett College, Chicago, IL in 1880. Ion Wood Vernon was b. Feb. 24, 1862 and d. Aug. 27, 1864 at ae 2y. Ion De Vernon was b. Apr. 20, 1866 and d. Aug. 15, 1868, ae 2y. Arthur Vernon was b. Jan 5., 1875 and md. on Jan. 2, 1901.

Sally's mother, Olive [VAN DER COOK] WEATHERWAX was the daughter of Revolutionary War Veteran Henry VAN DER COOK and his wife, Anna [FRANCISCO] VAN DER COOK [who later married Jacob VAN NESS], who was the daughter of John and Aeltje, above. Olive was also a granddaughter of Revolutionary War Patriot Michael VAN DER COOK and his wife, Cornelia [VAN NESS] VAN DER COOK.
