This
photo was sent to me by Kim Kester -
the only person that she can identify is the gentlemen in the back row
on the left- (with the crease) It is her grandfather John L.
Overhiser who was born in 1916 so she figures the picture was probably
taken around 1940 or so. I know there is an American Legion Post
No. 49 in South Haven and wonder if this was their baseball team?
Can anyone help with identifying any of them??
Update: The gentlement seated in the front row on
the left has been identified as L. C. Mohr - who was principal of the
school and later the High School was named for him.
Van Buren Co., MIGenWeb Project
In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized
the
Michigan Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a
single
entry point for all counties in Michigan, where collected databases
would
be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed and
cross-linked,
so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they
could be located in the index. At the same time, volunteers were
found who were willing to coordinate the collection of databases and
generally
oversee the contents of the web page. My name is Joan
Jaco
and I'm responsible for Van Buren county. Please contact me
if you would like to contribute to this database. This page is now
sponsored
by the
Van
Buren Regional Genealogical Society We would
like to see this page grow and welcome any contributions of
information
to add to our pages. If you would like to host a Michigan county,
please contact Jan
Cortez. Please visit the MIGenWeb
page for a lot of good links. To learn more about the

Since the change of URL to rootsweb.ancestry - can't seem to get the two below working - Atomz seems to be pretty complete.
