The society will promote and encourage an interest in genealogy among it's members and the general public. Working closely with the Waterford Township Public Library, the society aims to educate and enhance research opportunities.

Waterford Genealogical Society Fall Community Program

WGS and the Waterford Library will have guest speaker Dan Earl present the program:

Cemeteries and Ancestors, Leave no Stone Unturned

This program will cover the history of cemeteries and how to find and use the information that's uncovered.

The event is free and open to the public in the Community. Lite refreshments will be provided.

WGS Meeting Agenda

Meetings / Membership Information

The Waterford Genealogical Society meets from 13 pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the community room of the Waterford Township Public Library. The library is located at: 5168 Civic Center Drive, Waterford MI, 48329 Click for map

INCLEMENT WEATHER: Should Waterford schools or the Waterford Township Library be closed on a meeting day there will be no WGS meeting.

Meetings are FREE of charge. Non-members are welcome to attend. Membership in the society is open to individuals interested in genealogy irrespective of place of residence.

Evening meetings are once a month (Except for July & August), on the 2nd Tuesday from 7-8:30pm in the library's Conference room with the 1st half hour for the Germanic Interest Group
