KINNEY posted by Laurelee W on Monday, July 9, 2007

My gr grandfather John James KINNEY is found in Rush City in the 1900 census. He, John Kenney, is found in the 1895 Iowa State Census in Elma, Howard Co, not married. So some time between 1895 & 1897 he moved to Rush City & married a Rose or Rosie? I do not know her maiden name, where he met Rosie or where they married, their is no mrg record found in Iowa of a John Kinney of Howard Co IA. Since my grandfather Stephen Edward Kinney was brn in Rush City in Oct 1897, I assume that is where Rosie Kinney had died in childbirth. Later, John Kinney remarried a Josephine, could have been in Rush City as well. He is not found in 1910 in the US?, he may have been in Canada by then? My grandfather never knew his mother's maiden name or if she had any family. My grandfather died in 1954 in Canada. I was brn in Canada but live in Montana, a long ways from Minnesota. Can you help me or point me in a direction? Thank-you for your time!!

EASTMAN posted by Kathryn J. on Sunday, September 9, 2007

My Great Grandfather Peter Nelson EASTMAN move to Chisago County abt. 1910. Then called Pine county?? He move there with his wife, Mary and youngest son Albert (my grandfather). I believe all are buried there, but do not know where. can you help 1920 Census show Peters elder son Jason Edward Eastman also move there and lived on a neighboring farm. I belive Peter Nelson Eastman died abt. 1915. Jason would have died 3/12/1965. Albert abt. 1963.
