ABRAHAMSON, ELMUND, MÅNSSON, SVENSSON posted by Keith Elmund on Wednesday, January 27, 1999
Email: 75667.1332@compuserve.com

I am researching the ELMUND family in the Center City and Taylor Falls areas. The Magnus ABRAHAMSON family left Älmebode parish in Sweden in 1876. The sons changed their surname from Magnusson to ELMUND upon arrival in the States. The children were Charles, John, Frank Elof and Emma ELMUND. Emma (Elmund) Farnell settled in Center City and is buried at Chisago Lake Lutheran Cemetery. John Elmund's wife's name was Mary and they may have lived in the St. Croix Valley area. A picture of John and Mary Elmund (1890?) was taken in Taylor Falls. Other Elmund cousins that immigrated to the Center City area were Frans August SVENSSON (b Mar 12, 1860, e Sep 11, 1882) and the family of Gustaf Magnus MÅNSSON (b Mar 8, 1821, e Jan 9, 1876). Thanks for your help!
