records are in the offices of the Clerks of the District Court in
the respective counties. Birth and death records after 1908 are
in the offices of the Minnesota Dept. of Health.

of the Probate Court in the county courthouse, while the records
of deeds and mortgages are handled by the Register of Deeds in the
County was carved out of Beltrami County in 1902. The Clearwater
Clerk of the District Court has birth, marriage, deaths, divorce,
probate, and civil court records from 1903. Town Clerks have burial
records. The county recorder has land records from 1903. Prior to
that refer to Beltrami County.
