Educated in country schools of Iowa. Learned printing trade in McGregor Ia 1865; published papers at Decorah and Strawberry Point Ia; moved to Windom and established Windom Reporter 1871, which he continues to publish. V pres and dir First National Bank Windom; mngr Windom Mutual Telephone Co.
