From Brainerd, take State Highway 210 west into Baxter. Turn right (north) at Maplewood Drive N. (at elementary school). Cemetery is on right (east) side of road behind school.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 18 east to State Highway 6. Turn left (north) and go 4.5 miles. Cemetery is on left (west) side of road. Two entrances - south one is usually used.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 18 east and go 5 miles to County Highway 23. Turn right (south) and go 2.5 miles to a gravel road. Turn right (west) and go 1 mile. Cemetery and church are on left (south) side of road.

From Crosby, take State Highway 6 north and go 3 miles to County Highway 11. Turn right (east) and go 6.5 miles. Cemetery is in a fenced pasture on south side of road about 0.5 mile west of County Highway 105. Cannot be seen from road. No entrance or exit.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 210 northeast and go 9.2 miles to County Highway 12 (Deerwood Shortcut). Turn right (east) and go 6 miles to State Highway 210 in Deerwood. Go straight (east) 0.5 miles to State Highway 6. Turn right (south) and go 1.5 miles. Cemetery is on right (west) side of road. Hard to see from the road.

In Brainerd, take Washington Street east to NE 3rd Avenue. Turn left (north) and go to the end of the street. The Association office is on left (west) side of the street, next to the cemetery.
From Brainerd, take County Highway 3 north and go 1.5 miles to Wise Road. Continue north and cemetery is on right (east) side of the road.

From Crosby, take State Highway 6 north and go 12.5 miles to County Highway 36. Turn left (west) and go 2.5 miles to gravel road. Turn right (north) and go .5 miles. The cemetery is on the west side of the road. It is enclosed with barbed wire and overgrown with weeds (in 1979).

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 south and go 14 miles to the Nokasippi River bridge. Cemetery is on left (east) side of the road on a hill just south of the bridge.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 18 east and go 18 miles to a gravel road. Turn left (north) and go 0.5 miles to a fork in the road. Take the left fork to enter the cemetery.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 north to Main Street in Nisswa. Turn right (northerly) and go 2 blocks to County Highway 18. Turn right (east) and go past Nisswa school about 4 blocks. Cemetery is on the left (north) side of the road.

From Brainerd, take County Highway 45 south and go 5 miles to a gravel road. Turn left (east) and go 1 mile to another gravel road. Turn right (south) and go 0.5 miles to a farm road. Turn left (east) and go 0.4 miles.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 25 south and go 5 miles to where South Long lake can be seen on the left. The road curves to the right. Near the end of the curve a road heads directly north. At that point, go due east on a brush-lined road into a field. Follow the edge of the field to the right and then generally east over to the cemetery.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 18 east and go 8 miles to County Highway 8. Turn right (south) and go 16.2 miles to Holy Family Church near Bulldog Lake. Cemetery is on left (east) side of the road just north of the church in a field next to a fence.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 north and go 23.4 miles to County Highway 16 just south of Jenkins. Turn right (east) and go 2 blocks to County Road 145. Turn left (north) and go 1.5 miles to where the road curves to the right and a gravel road continues north. Continue north on the gravel road and go 0.3 miles. Cemetery is on right (east) side of the road in an open field.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 18 east and go 8.8 miles to Nokay Lake Road (County Highway 8). Cemetery is on NE corner of that intersection with two entrances - one from Highway 18 and another from Highway 8.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 south and go 8.5 miles to County Road 131 (at Crow Wing Lake). Turns left (east) and go 1 mile to a gravel road. Turn right (south) and go 1 mile to another gravel road. Turn left (east) and go 0.2 mile. Cemetery is on left (north) side of the road on a hill.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 south and go 7 miles to 80th Street (old entrance to Crow Wing State Park prior to 371 reconstruction in 2004). Turn left and cross northbound 371 onto a short frontage road that runs north to the cemetery.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 north and go 18.5 miles to the stoplights in Pequot Lakes. Turn left (west) and go 1 block. Turn right (north) and go 1/4 block. Turn left (west) and go 3 blocks. Cemetery is on south side, just beyond Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 north and go 12 miles (past Round Lake) to County Highway 115 (Nashway Rd). Turn right (east) and go about 3 blocks. Turn left (north) on the first tarred road (Camp Lincoln Road). Go past the Camp Entrance. Cemetery (with split rail fence) is on left (west).

Reserved primarily for those who are Camp Lincoln official family.
From Brainerd, take State Highway 25 south and go 11 miles to County Highway 2 (Dewing Highway). Turn right (west) and got 0.9 miles. The road crosses Daggett Brook and starts to rise. A poorly marked gravel road on the left goes across a narrow bridge into the cemetery.

From Brainerd, take County Highway 3 north and go 7 miles to Merrifield. Continue north on County Highway 3 to the intersection with County Highway 36 in Cross Lake. Turn right (east) and go 2 blocks. Two cemetery entrances are on left (north) side of road.

From Brainerd, take County Highway 45 south and go 9 miles to where Riverside Union Church was first built (church has been moved 1 mile south of cemetery). Cemtery is in back of where church used to be.

Used in connection with the St. Columba Episcopal Mission on the northeast shore of Gull Lake until the Mission was burned in 1862 during the state-wide Indian uprisings. No trace left of church or cemetery. Mission was re-established in 1868 at the newly-created White Earth Reservation. Records from the original Mission as well as from St. John's Holy Cross Episcopal Church at Crow Wing are on MHS microfilm (MN 107). Known burials - German peddler murdered at Gull Lake in 1857, Rev. E. Steele, Peake infant son, 2 of Hole-in-the-Day's Children, plus numerous others.
From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 south and go 6.9 miles to County Highway 27 (turnoff to Crow Wing State Park). Turn right (west) and go 1 mile to the Park Entrance. Turn right (north) just past the entrance and go 1/4 mile to the Chapel. Cemetery is located south of the Chapel (map available at park entrance).

From Crosby, take State Highway 210 northeast to County Highway 32. Turn left (north) and go 2 miles to a narrow tar road. Turn right (east) and go 0.7 mile. Church and cemetery are on left (north) side of road.

From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 south and go 6.9 miles to County Highway 27 (turnoff to Crow Wing State Park). Turn right (west) and go 1 mile to the Park Entrance. Turn right (north) just past the entrance and go 1/4 mile to the Chapel. Park there and proceed on foot northeast to the Boat Ramp. Follow the trail downstream along the river. The remains of the cemetery are on a high bluff overlooking the river next to the footpath (map available at park entrance).

Used from 1850 - 1873. At least 19 known burials. Burial records are on MHS microfilm MN 107. In 1868, the White Earth Reservation was formed and the Indians relocated there. In 1872, the new town of Brainerd became the county seat, and the town of Crow Wing was gradually abandoned. From Brainerd, take State Highway 371 south and go 8.9 miles to County Highway 2. Turn left (east) and go 1.5 miles. Cemetery is on left (north) side of the highway south of Fuchs Lake. No markers - just a clump of trees.

From Brainerd, take County Highway 3 north and go 7 miles to Merrifield. Continue north to County Highway 66 in Cross Lake. Turn left(northwest) and go 5 miles to County Highway 1. Turn left (west) and go 0.9 mile. Cemetery is on left (south) side of road behind some trees.

From Brainerd, take County Highway 3 north and go 7 miles to Merrifield. Continue north and go 1 mile to County Highway 4. Continue north and go 1.5 miles to County Highway 13. Turn left (west) and go 3.5 miles to E. Clark Lake Rd in Lake Hubert. Turn right (north) and go to the first curve. Cemetery is on left (west) side of the road.
Notes :
According to Anna Himrod (1937 WPA Project), there were three burials - "Colonel Freeman Thorpe, 1919; Mrs. Freeman Thorpe, 1922; Clark Thorpe, son, 1896. Colonel Thorpe, a Civil War veteran, was a portrait painter and had painted several portraits of Abraham Lincoln. The son died the year after his parents had moved to Lake Hubert. From Brainerd, take State Highway 18 east and go 6 miles to County Highway 23. Turn right (south) and go 2 miles to County Highway 24. Turn left (east) and go 0.5 mile. Cemetery is on right (south).

From Ironton, take County Highway 30 north and go 3 miles north, then 1 mile west, then 0.6 miles north. Located in extreme NE corner of Section 33 on Hanna Mining land.
Notes :
Land owned (in 2003) by Hanna Mining Company. Local reports are that 2 girls and 4 or 5 children are buried here, along with "Indian Jack" and perhaps several family members. This cemetery is in "Cemetery records of Crow Wing County, Minnesota" by Earl C. and Laura L. Leslie (1982).
From Crosby, take State Highway 6 north and go 4 miles to County Highway 30 just past Rabbit Lake. Turn left (west) and go about 1.5 miles to Wolford, an area on north side of Island Lake. This is the Wolford farm, where the cemetery is located.
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Single burial - "Child of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Anderson. This farm is now abandoned. The exact location of the grave cannot be found."
Two bodies left - Sarah Em Bratt and Herbert Dixon. Rest were moved because the soil was so hard that it was almost impossible to dig. Location: 60 rods east of present Oak Hill Cemetery.
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Single burial - "Child of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buck in 1908". Ron Manger says "No marker. Now there's an electric transformer on the site."
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Two burials - "Two children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Claus. The children died of a contagious disease shortly after 1900."

Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Single burial - "Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis, during the winter of 1904-1905." Ron Manger says "Originally a 10 ft. square of 12 pine trees surrounded grave. Gravesite is now on the edge of a gravel pit. Current land owner (Ted Murrer) leased land to a local construction company for removal of gravel."
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Six burials - "Mary Bennett and her daughter Mary; a boy named Graves; an old man named Steeves; a child of Mr. and Mrs. George Adcock; and a child, Mary Herdlichka. Mrs. Bennett was a sister of Mrs. Adcock and the Herdlichka child was her niece."
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Two burials - "Alma and Merle Foote, 1903 and 1904. Infant children of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Foote. Now the Shipka Farm (in 1937)."
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Five burials - "Mrs. Mary Gould, 1905; Mr. Amri C. Gould, 1907. Mr. and Mrs. Gould are buried in the front yard of their former homestead; the graves being fenced. Mr. Gould's grave will be marked with a Civil War veteran's headstone as soon as one can be obtained from the government. Also buried there: 2 daughters, one son. Additional info from WPA biography of Harry Gould, 1938."
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Five burials - "Mr. and Mrs. John Hartman and three of their children between 1908 and 1928." John Hartman was a Civil War veteran. He and his wife were buried in the yard of their old home.
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Four burials - "Mrs. William Jenkins; her married daughter, Jessie; Vernon Murchie; and a baby of Jessie's. Property owned by Charles Jenson (1937). Location: East side of Daggett Brook where SA Road #1 crosses it at Fifty Lakes". More recent information from Ron Manger of Fifty Lakes and a Brainerd Dispatch article says graves are now marked in a fenced-in area. According to relatives, Jesse Jenkins, Marry Jenkins, and Vernon Murchie are buried there. No death records for these people exist at the County Courthouse. Jessie married Herbert Pluff. Vernon Murchie was a child of Ivy Butterfield Murchie, a friend of Jessie.

Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Single burial - "John Lecksheidt, 1910. John Lecksheidt, age 58, died April 15, 1910. Born April 22, 1852, Schleswig, Holstein, Germany. Came to the United States in 1881." The E 1/2 NE 1/4 Section 8 is from property records at the time of his death.
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Four burials - "William Austin, 1877, age 80 years. Leland Lougee Farm. Location: West side of S.A Road #3 just north of the schoolhouse for district #85." William Austin was a Civil War veteran. Additional info from WPA biography for Lougee: Infant twin girls of Samuel Lougee were buried in 1910. Additional info from Mrs. Walter Graff: Twins were named Eva and Vera, and Betty Lougee (b. about 1924) is also buried there.

Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Single burial - "A man named Ludwig, father of Frank Ludwig of International Falls, Minnesota, about 40 years ago. There were several other graves near there but the others were re-interred, most of them in Riverside Cemetery."
Compiled by Anna Himrod (1937 WPA project) - Single burial - "Miss Ellen McArthur, 1872. Ellen McArthur was murdered by Indians. Location: About 80 yards north of the road that runs from Highway 371 into old Crow Wing." That road is now 80th Street. The "murdered by Indians" was never proven, as her remains were not found until found 4 years later and the 2 suspects were lynched before a trial was held (Brainerd Centennial Book, p. 71).

According to Ron Manger of Fifty Lakes (2005) - Single burial - "1 girl of Tucker Family. At time of burial, property owner was Lauren Tucker. Location: East side of Wolf Lake." That location is in SW 1/4 of section 4.
