Spring Conference, May 7 & 8, 2004. With

Minneapolis
See
the stunning architectural museum structure rising eight stories out of the
ruins of the Washburn mill, which was the largest flour mill in the world in
it's day. Highlights include the flour tower, an eight story elevator ride
through the flour milling process that tells the stories of the people who
worked in the mill in a dramatic display of lighting, sound and special
effects; the Water Lab where you will learn about the river's vital role in
the lumber industry that fueled the Minneapolis economy, first through logging
and then the flour milling industry; the Rail Corridor, a Rooftop Observation
Deck where you will see the Mississippi River and St. Anthony Falls Lock &
Dam, together with the historic Stone Arch Bridge and Mill Ruins Park.

with Minnesota ancestors but fascinating
for all. Each Saturday
from 9:15 – 10:15 am, a free course is given on the holdings and
