I am searching for any information on Elmer E. Atkinson, who lived on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, probably around the turn of this century. Harold and his wife, Minnie, had two sons, Harold and Donald. Elmer owned a clothing store, called E. E. Atkinson's. After his death the store was sold. Later on, Harold opened a store Harold's Ladies Ready to Wear. This is all that I know about this family. If anyone can help me with this, please send me a post. Carl was quite a fiddler and thought he would go to Wisconsin and make a fortune with his fiddle playing. He never returned from Wisconsin and we are sure he probably had another family in Wisconsin. We are establishing a family tree and we would love to find his extended family or friends. On the 1910 Federal Census for Minneapolis, he lived at 2123 Washington Avenue North with his wife Caroline and children Hjalmer (Hilmer), Signe, Borghild and Bjorn. We think Caroline was pregnant with their last child Agnes. I'm looking for any & all VAN NORMAN's, Van Arman's, Van Orman's, basically if it sounds like Van Norman I'm interested! Specifically looking for descendants of Whiting Fleming Van Norman & Margaret McCleish who married in Canada, moved first to New York in 1831 then to Whiteside Co, Illinois in 1835. They returned to Ontario after a few years, remained there for awhile, then returned to Illinois settling in Kane County where Whiting died in 1861. Of their children (Roxalina, Mary Ann, Emma/Amy, John Depew, Whiting Delevan, Benjamin DeWitt, and Lucien Patton) John was in Minneapolis by the 1880's, he married Laura Pinney and they had four known children - Mary Ann, Whiting Pinney, William H, and Harry Lucien. John & Laura died in Minneapolis in 1915 & 1904 respectively, son Whiting died there in 1886. It's assumed the remaining three children raised families there or nearby; Lucien was in Minneapolis by 1885 when his wife Ella/Ellen Annetta Rose died (they had lived in Illinois & Texas previously). Their daughter Bessie Rose Van Norman married John Winslow SMILEY in Minneapolis in 1894. They had three known children Anetta (married a BARRY), Rose Harriet (married a BUMMERFIELD) & an infant son. Would like to hear from all Van Norman and variant spelling researchers, even if you have no connection to the family mentioned above. Looking for information on Methuen William JONES, m. 16 Jun 1886 Minneapolis MN to Emma Antionette STEPTOE(1852-Dodge Co WI, 2 Sept 1892- Minneapolis MN) Methuen William JONES was a Real Estate Broker in Minneapolis, in partnership with George S. EICHMILLER( supposedly related) When Emma died in 1892, Methuen was not living with her, but they were not divorced. Her sister Susie apparently worked for Methuen for a short time. Methuen died in a train wreck in 1910, I do not know where, and have not been able to ever locate Methuen William JONES in a census so I can determine where he was born, who were his parents and siblings? Would appreciate hearing from anyone working on these lines, or who could help. Thank you.

Unknown what original name was before became LUPRO. Daniel LUPRO born 1819-1824 resided resided Gibson Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania 1847+. Married Jane COLLINS, had nine children, died January 1895 Lumber Township, Cameron County, Pennsylvania. Census says he was born Pennsylvania however death records of children say was France (French Canada ?). 1880 Minnesota census for Corcoran, Hennepin County, listed a Louis LUPRO, name was spelled LAPREY in other census. Looking for information on Charles joseph Matthias and his wife MAry Ingri Stahlberg or Stoberg or ? they lived in Minneapolis most of their lives, had a son John Edward born 7 June 1890 don't have any idea who their parents or siblings are. Am looking for information on Holmes family. My grandfather was Edward Benito Holmes. He was married to Margaret Ellen Daly of Missouri. Their only child, Helen Bernice Holmes, was my Mother. She was born 11-29-1900. After my grandfather's death in 1902, my grandmother,with my mother, returned to Mo. to live in St. Joseph where her family was. My grandparents were said to have lived in St.Paul at the time of his death. I have pictures of Frank and Mary Holmes who were Edward's parents. Looking for info on my mother's family. Her baby book states: "Elaine was baptized Feb 13, 1919 at St. Stephens church, 22nd and Clinton, Mpls. Minn by Rev. Rawles (Rowles). Aunt Katherine and Uncle Billy stood up for baby." Her baby book also states that christmas 1919 and 1920 were at 3849 Grand Ave, Mpls; Christmas 1921 was at 5237 2nd Ave So.; christmas 1922 was in Winona, Minn. I do not know if they lived at these places, or were living elsewhere and were visiting relatives who lived there. There are a dozen or so aunts and uncles mentioned in her baby book, but no last names. My mother was Marcella Elaine SANDT, born Jan 16, 1919, Minn. Her parents were Arthur Ralph SANDT, born in Penn. and Marcella E FUREY, born in Minn.
