This is the of William Nagle, a resident of Park Rapids. The Wood Chopper was filmed about 1948.  

The man with no hands was Bill Fox, who's arms were blown off when he was a teenager, in an accident at a 4th of July Celebration (abt 1894).                            Contributed by Tim Rovenstine,
