Meister
Parents: Franz and Anna (Pines) Meister and descendants
Franz and Anna (Pines) Meister were some of the first pioneers to Rost in 1870. They brought their 2 children, August and Mathilda, building the first sad house in Rost. Regular Sunday devotions were held in their home, with other families joining them. Franz called the first Lutheran minister to Rost, thus founding the Rost church. Anna died in 1904 and Franz died in 1908.
August Meister (son of Franz and Anna) and wife Ottile (Milbrath), had several children interred at this St. Pauls cemetery. They are: Arthur, Alma, Anna, Ruth, Martin, Alice, Viola.
Mathilda Meister married Ferdinand Milbrath and they became the parents of 3 sons and 2 daughters. Children were Edward, Theodore, Reinhold George "RG", Bertha (Herman Kuhlmann) and Hulda (Alvin Glaser).
