This is the story of pioneers of the Catholic parish of St. John the Evangelist in Derrynane Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota. The church was built around 1857-58. The parish was divided in 1865 into the parishes of St. John's, Union Hill and St. Thomas, St. Thomas.
