Information about The Gathering

As our first guest speaker we welcome

Stephen S. Barthel

Mr. Barthel is an accredited genealogist specializing in German research. For 21 years he worked as a European Reference Consultant for the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. During the last 5 years at the Family History Library he  worked in Public Affairs Unit with the local and National Media, hosting VIPs and researching and preparing genealogies for presidents and celebrities. Privately he has been giving presentations for genealogical  societies in US and Canada. He has been  on several talk shows on television and radio programs in the United States and Ukraine.

Although he is retired, he continues giving service as the Vice- President  of the St. Michael Historical Society by managing their website. He is also on the staff of the St. Cloud Family History Center of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Please join us at 6 Pm as we learn from this Native of St. Michael Minnesota  about  becoming familiar with and the the basics of Family Tree.

We'll begin with the speaker  right at 6 PM.

Monthly meetings are the 4th Monday of each month at 6pm from September through April and the 3rd Monday in May.

Meetings include speakers on a variety of subjects for beginning through experienced researchers.
