In the Spring of 1853 the Hon. Hiram Thompson came from Michigan and took a claim in the eastern part of the present Town of Dover, and having built a substantial log house (which is still to be seen), brought his family in the same year to reside therein.

This is the home of Clark & Laura (Keeler) Phelps, who are seated in front. Clark Phelps was born 19 June 1807 VT and died 12 March 1897 New Haven, Olmsted Co., MN. Laura (Keeler) Phelps was born 31 Jan. 1813 NY and died 15 March 1911 New Haven, Olmsted Co., MN. I do not have a date for the picture. I do know that they first settled in Adams Co., WI in 1851 and moved to Olmsted Co., MN in 1865.

My grandfather,Tom Larkin married Marie Maier(daughter of Alois Maier)about 1903. She was born around Pine Island or Douglas in 1883. Had brothers Rudy and Gene and a sister Anna Maier Ackerman. Looking for any contacts I can get with info on these people. Attached Photo of Toms pool hall which he bought from a relative in about 1899. Thank you for any info you might provide. Owens and Agnes M. Sibley. VERY BACK ROW; Nina Hall Strickland, the daughter of Austin(Benjamin) Hall and Onelia McGary, and Walter Strickland. CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY ANYONE ELSE IN THE PHOTO? The Stricklands, and possibley some members of the Owens family resided in Olmstead county, Mn. as late as 1929 and Hazel M. Owens Poole is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, Mn. beside her husband; Harrison Poole, Jr.
