Welcome to the Pipestone County, Minnesota Genealogy Web Pages. My name is Brian Ward, and I took over responsibility for these pages from Judy Wallis White. I have kept the pages as they have been for the most part, but I will do my best to continue to add information and links as things become available. If anyone comes across information that would be helpful to Pipestone County Genealogy researchers, please let me know so I can share it with the rest of you. Thanks to Tammy Stuart who originally set up these pages and to Judy for her work in developing and maintaining them after Tammy moved on. I hope I can continue to build on their foundation. The USGenWeb Project

To find out about the USGenWeb project, go to the USGenWeb site, click on the state of your choice, and contact the state's coordinator, for additional  information.      In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database Project.  The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected databases would be stored.  In addition, the databases would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in the index.  At the same time, volunteers were found who were willing to coordinate the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of the web page.      In June, as the Kentucky project was nearing completion, it was decided to start a page for each of the remaining states, and as with the Kentucky project, volunteers were found to host the state pages.
