After living eight days, Frank W. Smith of Milroy, is dead as the result of an accident that occurred to him while he was elevating grain in his large barn from the basement to the top floor with a box holding 30 bushels. A piece of the machinery broke and let the loaded box fall 30 feet, striking him upon the head and inflicting terrible injuries. He had large land interests.
