Lakeside Cemetery

Located in Grove Park Township, Section 34, Polk County, MN

South of Mentor on County Road 12

A few of the people buried in this cemetery are listed as being buried in the
“Episcopal” cemetery.  For that reason some information will be given on this church.  The Episcopal Church was called the “Church of the Beloved Physician’ and was built in 1884 approximately a half mile from Mentor, and was moved into Mentor in 1893.  Early members were families of Knowles, Van Gorden, Abbott, Attix, Kempton, Berg, Hayes, Dugdale, Holcomb, Tassell, Burns, John Tice, Barker, Robinson, Ewift, Clark, Borchert, Kemp, Martson and Morris.  A few times this cemetery is listed as “Lakeview Cemetery” which is incorrect.
