Ceiling arch decor
This photo is taken from the balcony, looking over the raised pulpit
and towards the altar; a harvest wreath of grains and chestnuts is
suspended from the arch. The arch paintings depict the parable of
the five wise and five foolish virgins, painted about 1390,
rediscovered in 1939 under many layers of paint, and restored in
2003. Church was built about 1250.

The fresco of a biblical lion is from about 1300, painted onto the
wall along the side balcony overlooking the pulpit, rediscovered during 1938 renovation, completely restored in 2003.
