in 1863 removed to Goodhue Co. MN; and two years later to Nicollet

in Brookville. In 1862 he enlisted in Company H., Fifth Minnesota;
was discharged on account of disability. Married Matilda Youngs in
1848; thirteen children living, Martha, Hilaria, Ruth, Jesse, Emma,
Joseph, Ella, Rhoda, Jack, Alice, Effie, Huldah and Hannah"
