ELIZA NETTIE EDWARDS

Eliza was born in Seaforth, Minnesota, the daughter of
Herbert & Clara King. She was raised on a farm in
the Seaforth area & moved to Montana in 1922. In
1949 she married Lawrence Edwards in Plentywood and
they made their home
in Whitetail, Montana until retirement, at which time
they moved to Plentywood, Montana. She enjoyed
gardening and raising flowers. As a young woman she
farmed when horses were still used and she enjoyed
that very much. She went to school in Minnesota to
become a seamstress and made clothing for all of her
children. She loved spending time with her
grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence of
Plentywood, one son, Morris LaVerdure and wife Louise
of Corvallis, Montana, three daughters, Irene and
husband Sam Schuman of Laurel, Montana, Nora and
husband Clifford Hagadone of Wolf Point, Montana and
Gertrude and husband Norbert Witschen of Hamilton,
Montana.
Also surviving are three brothers, Howard King of
Plentywood, Montana, George King of Echo, Minnesota,
Clyde King of Seaforth, Minnesota, one sister Lizzie
Olson, Missoula, Montana. There are 11
grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great
grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her
parents and 1 son, Marcel & 5 brothers.
She was born at Redwood Falls, Redwood County,
Minnesota and was baptized in the first Baptist
Church. She attended school at Seaforth to sixth
grade education.
