      - Services were held Saturday at Plentywood, Montana Lutheran Church for a former Redwood Falls resident. 

      Francis King, 82, died Wed. June 13, 1990 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood.  Rev Barthelmeh officiated.  Interment in Plentywood Memorial Cemetery. 

      Mr. King was born Nov 30, 1907 in Redwood Falls, the youngest of 12 children, a son of Bruce & Katherine (Fagan) King.  The family homesteaded north of Comertown, Montana in 1912 but returned to Minnesota when his Mother became ill.  He married Esther Larson at Plentywood, March 3, 1931.  They lived in Redwood Falls area until moving to Dooley, Montana in 1948.  They farmed until 19 years ago when they retired in Plentywood.  He was active in Sheridan County Golden Years Club. 

      Survivors include his wife, Esther; sons, Clay of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bruce of Plentywood, Montana; daughters, Mrs. Chester (Beverly) Olson of Dooley, Montana and Comertown Montana, Mrs. David (Connie) Adams of Kirkland, Washington, Marie and Carol King of Bothell, Washington and Mrs. Merle (Judy) Bykonen of Raymond, Montana; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Russell of Concord, CA. 

     He was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley in 1956, his parents, 10 brothers and a sister.
