George King was born in Redwood Co., Minnesota on Dec. 18, 1904.  His parents were Herbert (Bert) King and Clara (Winslow) King.  George attended Dist. 75 school between Wabasso & Seaforth. On July 2, 1927 he married Erna Bangerter in Scobey, MT.  The couple farmed and ran the King Store and Restaurant in Seaforth for many years.
In Oct of 1976 the couple retired and moved to Echo.  For the past 3 yrs George was a resident of Parkview Home in Belview.  George enjoyed many hobbies, including crafts, woodworking, flowers, horses, pets and being with family. 

     On Oct 24, 1993 George died at Parkview Home in Belview at the age of 88 years, 10 months & 6 days. He is survived by his wife Erna of Echo, three sons and one daughter along with their spouses; Darlene & Jim Pederson of Echo, Ronald and Katherine King of Kasota, Larry and Pat King of St Francis and Wayne and Margy King of Echo.  Also survived by two brothers and one sister; Howard of Plentywood, Montana, Clyde of Seaforth and Lizzie Olson of Missoula, Montana, a
special family friend, Joe and Mary McCarty of Anoka and 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wille, Robert, Ernest, Ed, Jim and one sister, Eliza.  Casket Bearers: Louis, Kevin, Randy, Rock, Todd, Brandon, Colin King & Jeff Hiepler.  Interment Redwood Falls Cemetery.
