Rites held at Echo, Minnesota
Funeral services were held Monday at Sunset Funeral
Home in Echo for James J. King, 73, who died at his
home in Seaforth. Paul McKibben, Pastor, conducted
the service and Sharon McKibben sang, accompanied by
Mrs. Tom Jones. Pallbearers were Ronald King of St.
Peter, Wayne King of Lynd, Larry King of Bethel, Leon
King of Seaforth. Lester Schultz of Madelia and James
Pederson of Echo. Interment was in Redwood Falls
cemetery with military rites by Ralph Lamb American
Legion post of Seaforth.
Survivors include brothers, Howard of Plentywood
Montana, Clyde of Seaforth and George of Redwood
Falls and a sister Mrs. Henry (Lizzie) Olson of
Missoula, Montana and Mrs. Lawrence (Eliza) Edwards
of Whitetail, Montana. He was preceded in
death by three brothers.
He spent most of his life in and around Seaforth community.
He served for a short time in the United State Army
during World War II . He was a member of the Ralph
Lamb American Legion Post of Seaforth. He worked as a
farm labor in the early years, then owned a salvage
yard near Seaforth, Minnesota.
He never married.
