FAY TRUESDELL RITES THURSDAY
George Fay Truesdell, 80, died Sunday morning at his
home, 319 North Grove Street, Redwood Falls. He had
been in poor health nearly a month. Funeral services
will be held Thursday at 1 pm at Hoepner Funeral Home
with Rev. Baxter, pastor of First Presbyterian Church,
officiating.
Pallbearers will be Donald Trefry, John Blilie, Leslie
Pratt, Herman Bagdons, E. L. Nelson and Elwood Fagen.
Interment will be in Redwood Falls cemetery.
Mr. Truesdell was born in Redwood Falls Feb. 21, 1882, a
son of Frank and Anna (Stanton) (typo in obituary,
should be Smith) Truesdell and attended grade school and
high school. He married Cecelia Poulsen here June 12,
1912. He was employed as an engineer by Redwood Falls
Light and Power Company until 1942, then was city water
department superintendent until about 10 years ago.
Survivors are his wife and five children; Clarice
Truesdell and Mrs. Elbert (Inez) Goeke, Bell Gardens,
Calif., Mrs. R. T. (Irene) Hoskens, Colorado Springs,
Colo., Bob C. Truesdell, Lakewood, Calif. and Mrs.
Wallace (Betty) Hoover, Longview, Wash. and nine
grandchildren. A son, George Jr. died in 1942.
