LEE • STENSRUD • WANG/VANG • LEIN/LIEN

I am looking for information regarding Mr. A. O. LEE who in early 1900's was staying on a "stock farm" half way between Fairfax and Frankling, but 1/2 mile closer to Fairfax. He wrote a postcard to my g-grandmother, Johanna STENSRUD WANG (b. 15 July 1866 in Vang, Norway d. 2/9/1940 Chicago, IL) and the salutation read, "My Dear Brother's Sister". We believe the name LEE to be the American translation of LEIN or LIEN and WANG is the Amerianization of the name VANG. My g-grandfather was Johan Kristoffersen VANG (b. 27 January 1865 Vang Norway d. 14 November 1918 Chicago, IL). We feel perhaps the salutation indicates Mr. Lee's inablility to translate relatiionships from Norwegian to English. If anyone has any information regarding Mr. A. O. LEE, I would really appreciated hearing from them.

BRINKMANN • STEWART

I am looking for relatives of William and Emma Augusta (BRINKMANN) STEWART. Emma was born about 1905 in MN. The BRINKMANN Family lived in Danube, MN at one time. After Emma's marriage, her and her husband lived in Henning, MN.

Other STEWART names that are listed in an old address book c1970's, Thomas STEWART who lived in CA. Believe he married a woman named Lillion. Also, Constance Jean STEWART possibly born September 24, 1936. Not sure how Thomas and Constance are related. There is a possibility that William and Emma STEWART did not have any children.

NELSON • JESSEN • FUERSTENAU • GOTTLIEB

I am seeking information on the NELSON family. Mary JESSEN, her brother Marcus (b. 25 Dec 1851 in Bov, Åbenrå, Denmark), and brother Lawrence Peter (b. 10 Dec 1861) immigrated in 1882-3 and settled in Bird Island, Renville Co. Mary may have been married to Jens Peter NELSON before leaving Germany (Schleswig). They had four children, the youngest of whom was Christine Marie b. 12 Jan. 1895 in Renville Co., MN and d. 8 Nov 1990 in New Ulm, Brown Co. She married a Rev. FUERSTENAU. The boys, Joe b. 28 July 1884, John GOTTLIEB b. 17 Oct 1890, and Peter GOTTLIEB b. 9 Apr 1892 were all born near Olivia.

Where did (Jens) Peter and Mary live in Renville County and when did they die? They were not members of the same church as Marcus and Lawrence (Palmyra Ev. Lutheran), or at least their names don't appear in the early records.
