Vincent Alfred Lloyd Adams-Laura Blight
A pretty autumn wedding was solemnized at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6 at the home of Mr. And Mrs. George Blight, Oakville, when their daughter, Laura Evelyn, became the bride of Alfred Adams, son of Mr. And Mrs. John Adams, Burnside. Rev. J. D. Gregg of Oakville officiated.
The bride wore a princess gown of ivory white satin. Her veil of net was arranged in a Juliette cap and secured with orange blossoms. She carried a boquet of bridal roses and valley lilies.
During the signing of the register, Mrs. M. Cook sang, "All Joy Be Thine."
Following the ceremony a buffet wedding breakfast was served. Pink roses and valley lilies in small vases, surrounded the wedding cake which centered the table.
Mrs. John Burnett and Mrs. S. Murray presided over the teacups.
Mr. And Mrs. Adams left on a motor trip and on their return will live near Portage La Prairie.
For traveling the bride chose a suit of wood brown rabbit's wool. Her hat was of brown felt with stitched crown. Brown accessories and a corsage of roses and fern completed her costume.
