His passing during the night came as a severe shock to his wife, who was alone with him in their apartment, and to other family members. While he had been known to have a heart weakness, his condition was not considered so grave. He was 75 years, six months, and ten days when death came to him.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church at Humboldt, his former home, Monday at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery at Hallock, Minnesota.

The Reverend Roland E. Ritter conducted the services. Serving as pallbearers were Walter and Alfred Loe?, Herbert Johnston, Lloyd Babcock, Purdy Irving and Simon Dykhuis.

In 1947, Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong moved to Hallock, and resided there for about seven years. The Armstrongs moved to Yakima, Washington in 1954. Since that time they had spent part of their time in Washington, returned to Minnesota to visit relatives, and then located at Stephen several months ago.
