Obituary; William C Balderston, 70, Lake Bronson, died at his home Monday, August 19,1996.

He was born in Humboldt, March 1, 1926, the son of Benjamin F and Lillie Balderston. He served with the first Marine Division during WWII and returned home following his tour of duty.

On April 1, 1948 he was united in marriage to Jewelle Sjostrand at Crookston, MN.

Bill spent most of his working life in Construction , working on jobs in Minnesota and North Dakota.

In semi-retirement Bill worked with his close friend, Ed Anderson, doing construction work in Lake Bronson.

Family survivors include his wife Jewelle: two sons Brad (Jean) Balderston, Lander, WY, and Lance Balderston, Dixie, Washingtoin; four grandchildren; and four sisters, Margaret Diamond, Hallock; Bunny Hoover, North Platte, Neb.; Rose McDonnell, Bryon, CA and Dale Bergquist, Wayzata, MN.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; a son Charles in 1982 and two brothers, Cecil and Earl and two sisters Jean and Ila.

Funeral services were Friday, Aug 23, 1996, 10:00 a.m.Community Covenant Church, Lake Bronson.

Internment was in Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson. Rev Bill Edwards, presiding.

Pallbearers were; Glenn Anderson, Mike Augustson, Roy Anderson, Eddied Anderson, Mike Goldstrand and Bruce Goldstrand. Hughes Funeral Home, Hallock, was in charge of arrangements.
