Keith Bowman

Hallock - Keith "Bud" Bowman, 71, Hallock died at the Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center, Hallock, Thursday, April 5, 2001.

Bud was born in Hallock, Aug. 26, 1926 (must be a typo), the son of George Raymond and Katherine (Deere) Bowman. He graduated from Hallock High School in 1948 and served with the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954.

On Oct. 21, 1950 he was united in marriage to Ann Andert, Hallock. The couple settled in Kennedy and farmed there. In addition to farming, Bud also worked as a mechanic at Petersburg Chevrolet in Kennedy. He retired in 1994.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hallock; the Hallock Eagles Club and the Kennedy VFW Post where he was a Past Commander.

Family members include his wife, Ann; three daughters, Rae Anne (Mike) Van Camp, Grand Forks; Patricia (Doug) Roane, Grand Prairie, Texas; and Kari Bowman, Thief River Falls; two sons, John (Carol) Bowman, Warren; and Robert (Jamie) Bowman, Buffalo; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Crystal (Sherwood) Anderson, Ray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lou and Joy; and a son, Keith Bowman in 1979.

Funeral services were Monday, April 9, 2001 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, Hallock. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Rev. Kenneth Losch, presided.

Pallbearers were Richard Deere, Scott Pearson, Tim Pearson, Larry Diamond, Richard Anderson, Mike Anderson, David Anderson, and Tom Pearson.

Hughes Funeral Home, Hallock was in charge of arrangements.
