Blanche Myrick

Walhalla, ND - Blanche A. Myrick, 88, Walhalla, and formerly of Pembina, died on Thursday, March 15, 2001, at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla.

Blanche A. Myrick, the daughter of George and Diana (LaRoche) Burns, was born June 9, 1912 at Bowesmont, ND. The family moved to St. Vincent when Blanche was a small child, and it was there she received her education.

She was united in marriage to Nathan C. Myrick, May 1, 1932, at Hallock and the couple spent their married life in Pembina, with Blanche as homemaker for her family. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Pembina, and also a member of the Kern - Thompson American Legion Auxiliary Post #77 of Pembina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nathan in 1990; four brothers; and two sisters.

Family survivors are Terry Myrick, St. Michael, MN; Ardie Myrick, Carson City, NV; and Paul Myrick, Brandon, SD; her two daughters: Diane Wilwant and Sheila Hague, both of Pembina; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert Burns, Milwaukee, WI and George Burns, Cambridge.

Funeral services were MOnday, March 19, 2001, 10 a.m., at the Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina.

Father William Ovsak officiated.

Pallbearers were Douglas Finney, Jeff Keller, George Motl, Shane Myrick, Peter Smith, and Jeff Wilwant.

Cemetery: Pembina Cemetery, Pembina, ND
