Roy E. Clow, 83, St. Vincent, died at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rockford, IL, July l6, 1995. He was born in St. Vincent township Feb. 19, 1912, the son of Waldron and Nina (Cridland) Clow. Roy grew up on the family farm and attended St. Vincent Schools. On June 1, 1939, he was united in marriage to Doris Joern Diamond at Humboldt. The couple farmed in St. Vincent Township until their retirement in 1978.

Roy was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Pembina, and served as an elder and board member. He also served on the St. Vincent Township Board for several years.

Family survivors include his wife, Doris; a daughter and son-in -law Barbara and Gary Mattson, Minneapolis; two sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy and Linda Clow, St. Vincent; and Tim and Peggy Clow, Rockford; four grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Leibinger, Sumner, WA; and two brothers, Albert Clow, Pembina, and Glen Clow, Renton, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Edith and Florence; and three brothers, Warren, Clifford and Willard.

Funeral services were held July 10, 1995, 2 p.m., Evangelical Free Church, Pembina with Rev. Stephen Gibbons presiding. Pallbearers were Aaron Clow, Todd Clow, Raymond Ward, William Dykhuis, Carl Gatheridge, and Dan Gaetz. Special music provided by Marge Dykhuis and Peggy Cosley. Interment was in the St. Vincent Cemetery. Arrangements were with Hughes Funeral Home, Hallock.
