Funeral services for Roy F. Clow, 75, Lancaster were held on June 25th at the Sion Lutheran Church in Lancaster with Rev. Gary Graff officiating. He died June 22nd at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo. He was born May 19, 1911 to the late Estella and Cleve Clow at Orleans. He attended school, grew to manhood and had lived his entire life in the Orleans-Lancaster area. He married Olive Eggerud on Dec 17, 1932 at Hallock. He was employed at the Emmett Abney farm at Orleans until 1936 when they moved to Poppleton Township and have lived east of Lancaster since, majoring in dairy farming most of his life. He was employed by the Kittson County Highway Department for a few years and farm work. He is survived by his wife, Olive, two sons: Charles of Greenbush, Arnold of Lancaster, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers: Willard of Aztec, NM, Wesley of Las Vegas, NV, two sisters: Charlotte (Mrs. Raymond Viereck of Litchfield, MN, and Ethel Christinson of St. Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Music at the funeral services were provided by Diane Rice, organist and Faye Whitlock, soloist. Pallbearers were Dale and Darell Vagle, Curt Ongstad, Gene Eggerud, Jeff Muirhead and Orville Eggerud. Interment was held in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Arrangements were made with the Hughes Funeral Home of Hallock.

Olive Clow

LANCASTER, Minn. - Olive Clow, 96, Lancaster, died at the Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center, Hallock, on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004.

Olive Eggerud was born in Poppleton Township of Kittson County on Nov. 23, 1907, the daughter of Austin and Ingeborg Eggerud. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school.

On Dec. 27, 1932 she married Roy Clow at Hallock. They farmed in Poppleton Township until their retirement. Roy died June 22, 1986. Olive was a member of Sion Lutheran Church and WELCA.

Family members include two sons, Charles (Marie) Clow, Greenbush and Arnold (Janice) Clow, Lancaster; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; four sisters, Nellie, Gerty, Betsy and Alma; and four brothers, Henry, Albert, Gilbert and Oscar.

Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Sion Lutheran Church at Lancaster.

Interment was in the Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery, Lancaster. Rev. Timothy Lundeen, presiding. Special music was provided by Sarah Ongstad, pianist and Dianne Rice, organist.

Pallbearers were Seth Ongstad, Jordan Ongstad, Chance Clow, Jeremy Clow, David Eggerud and Troy Vagle.

The Adamson-Austin-Hughes Funeral Home, Hallock assisted the family with arrangements.
