Violet Margret (Clow) Rundquist Obituary:

Violet M. Rundquist, 83, Lake Bronson, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997 in Kittson County Memorial Healthcare Center, Hallock.

Violet Margret Clow was born the daughter of Thalbert and Effie (McIlraith) Clow July 19, 1914 in Clow Township, Kittson County. She grew up and received her education at Orleans and Oct. 27, 1937 married Bernard Rundquist. They made their home at Lancaster where they operated a dairy business. In 1941 they bought a farm in Cannon Township where they lived and farmed until Bernard's death in 1970. Violet moved to Lake Bronson in 1971.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the WELCA of Lake Bronson, an active member of the Lake Bronson Senior Citizens, and a member of the Kittson County Historical Society.

Family members include her sons, Leland Rundquist, Springbrook, WI; Vaughn (Lorenne) Rundquist, Havre, Montana; a daughter Rita (Daniel) Cole, Belle Plaine; nine grandchildren, brothers Lloyd (Margaret) Clow, Grand Forks; Harold (Frances) Clow, Portland, OR; sisters Hazel Peterson, Fargo; Laurinne (Bob) Olson, Nixa, MO; Doris Stahl, Englewood, CO; and a special friend Joel Hemmingson, Lake Bronson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard in 1970, brothers Raymond and LaVerne, a sister Edith, and a granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, 10 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Bronson. Interment was at River View Memorial Gardens, Lancaster. Rev. Mary Carol Strug and Rev. Cordell Strug officiated. Music for the service was provided by Lenore Olson and Lyndon Johnson.

Active pallbearers were Adam Cole, Randy Rundquist, Richard Swanson, Neil Rundquist, Jim Kelley, and Richard Clow. Honorary pallbearers were Alvin Erickson, Don Austad, Freddie Anderson, Leo Locken, Odeen Anderson, Roger Hultgren, Floyd Nelson, and Leonard Ehrenstrom.
