County Boy Reported Missing By War Department
is Prisoner of Japs in Philippine Area

 

Albert J. Jerome, son of Napoleon Jerome, his father amongthe very early residents of the county, is a prisoner of the Japanese. Accordingto a telegram received by Albert's father here, the war department notifiedthe family that the son is being held by the Japs.

Several weeks ago the family was notified that Albert wasmissing and it was believed that he had probably been killed as it was knownhe was in the thick of fighting in the Philippines.
