M. Faye Coleman, 72, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Health Center.
Memorial Services were held Jan. 7 at First Lutheran Church, Rev. Mervin Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Mox Gunderson was organist, Solveig Nordsletten, soloist.
Marion Faye Gullander was born July 6, 1927, in Hallock, to Oscar and Alvina (Muir) Gullander.
She was raised and educated in Hallock, graduating from Hallock High School in 1945.
She attended Gustavus Adolphus college in Northfield, MN; the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and Medical Tech training in Minneapolis.
She worked at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown, ND, 1948-49. She married John Coleman Dec. 26, 1948, in Hallock. They lived in Hallock, Crookston, Red Lake Falls and Roseau, prior to moving to Detroit Lakes in 1961.
Survivors include her husband, John, Detroit Lakes; sons: John W. (Ann), St. Anthony, Robert, Jersey City, NJ, Dave, New York, NY, Richard, Minneapolis; daughters: Mary (Howie) Anderson, Pine City, Kathleen and Betty Coleman, both of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; sisters: Betty (Henry) Fischer, Detroit Lakes and Maxine (Harris) Johnson, Hallock.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Gustafson.
David-Donehower Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes was in charge of arrangements.
