Arthur Thomas Hart
1896 - 1966

The funeral of Arthur Thomas Hart, who died suddenly at his Foam Lake home on June 24th, was held on June 17th in the Foam Lake United Church with Rev. W. R. Cowan conducting the service. Miss Sylvia Holoway organist and choir attending.

Pallbearers were John Sigurdson, Arnold Evans, H. E., Gale, Calvin O'Dell, Cy Birt and Jim Bray.

Burial was made in the Hart family plot in the Foam Lake cemetery.

Mr. Hart was born in Pembina, N.D. in 1896 and came to the Foam Lake district with his parents in 1907. He took up farming as a life work south of Foam Lake. In 1962, he retired from the farm and with Mrs. Hart moved to Foam Lake.

In April 1924, he married Maxine Eleanor Taylor at Foam Lake.

He was an active member of the Foam Lake Masonic Lodge, the Foam Lake Pool Wheat Committee, the Foam Lake Savings and Credit Union, and for many years of the Foam Lake Agricultural Society.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Doreen (Mrs. Eric Dabrowski) of Govan and Marion (Mrs. Robert Wunder) of Foam Lake, also three grandchildren. He leaves one sister, Barbara (Mrs. Harold Bray) of San Francisco, Calif., and was predeceased by one brother, Lloyd, in 1934.

Visiting Foam Lake for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hart and Mr. and Mrs. Milfred Hart of Pembina, N. D., Mr. and Mrs. John Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Adams, Harry Adams, also Mrs. Hazel Adams of Portage, Man., Mr. and Mrs. Philip Pendlebury of Hodgville, also friends from Star City, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Govan, Regina, and Semans, Sask.
