On Nov. 5, 1927, she was united in marriage to John (Conrad) Nelson at North Star College at Warren. The couple farmed in Huntley Township until retirement in 1955.

They continued to make their home on the farm until 1973, when they moved into Elderbush Manor in Greenbush. Conrad died March 27, 1976. She continued to make her home there until December of 1999 when she moved to the Greenbush Nursing Center where she has since resided.

Sigri was a member of Gustav Adolph Lutheran Church of Strathcoma. Over the years, she wove rugs, sewed, quilted, and knitted along with the chores of farm wife. She was still knitting up to the time of her death.
