Karlstad, Minn. - Jason Lee Juhl, the son of Lelan and Miriam (Vagle) Juhl was born on Feb. 8, 1971, at Karlstad. He grew up at Lake Bronson, and attended Heritage Christian School at Karlstad for six years.
Jason graduated from Maplewood Acadmey in Hutchinson in 1989, then attended East Grand Forks Area Vocational Institute for auto mechanics. He worked at Motor Coach Industries at Pembina and for five years was employed by Helm Enterprises at Drayton.
He was an independent truck operator for several years, and presently was employed by Dean Foods at the Thief River Falls division.
On Sept. 1, 1996, Jason was united in marriage to Kasey Koland at Lake Bronson, and they have since made their home at Karlstad.
Jason passed away unexpectedly at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls on Friday evening, May 10, at the age of 31 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kasey; twin daughters: Kourtney and Kaylee, at home; his parents: Leland and Miriam Juhl, Lake Bronson; one sister, Angie Zillmer, Monticello; paternal grandparents; Lester and Hilda Juhl, East Grand Forks; in additin to several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Funeral service was held May 16, 2 p.m. at the Heritage Christian School, Karlstad.
Interment was at Karlstad Cemetery, Karlstad. Pastor Jeffrey Helsius officiated.
Pallbearers were Jason Johnson, David Zillmer, Jeremy York, Larry Juhl, Jr., Roman Gudmundson, Jr., Pete Gudmundson, Jay Vagle, Troy Vagle, and Daniel York.
Arrangements were with Collins Funeral Homes of Karlstad, Greenbush, and Middle River.
