On March 3, 1963 at the family residence, Mary E. Lowe, widow of Louis S. Lowe. Prayers will be said in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Wednesday March 6th at 8:30 p.m. Requiem High Mass from St. Edward's R.C. Church, Arlington Street on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Father L. McCloskey officiating. Interment in the family plot Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Lowe was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. coming to Winnipeg in 1903. She was school trustee from 1930 to 1932, and a member of the Child's Welfare, and Canadian Daughters. With her late husband, they were one of the founding members of the Independent Labor Party, and the CCF of Manitoba. Surviving are a son Arthur Lowe of Winnipeg; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Cresswell of Toronto and Mrs. Elsie Chesowsky of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. G. Gallimore of Winnipeg. Buried: Elmwood Cemetery.

LOWE -- In memory of a loving son and brother, Herbert D. (Bert) Lowe, killed on Pineway road, November 05, 1935, also treasured memories of a dear father, Louis S. Lowe who passed away February 04, 1940. Those whom we love go out of sight, but never out of mind: They are cherished in the hearts of those they leave behind. On January 31, 1963, at the Winnipeg General Hospital, Louis Vernon, aged 56 years, beloved husband of Grace Lowe of 474 Bannerman Avenue. Prayers will be said in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Monday, February 4 at 8 p.m., followed by funeral service in the Chapels, Tuesday, February 5 at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Father L.J. McCloskey officiating. Interment in the family plot, Elmwood Cemetery.

Surviving besides his wife are one son Alvin Lowe in Saskatchewan, two grandsons, his mother, Mrs. Mary Lowe, one brother Arthur G. B. Lowe of Winnipeg. Two sisters; Mrs. J. (Mary) Cresswell of Toronto and Mrs. S. (Elsie) Chesowsky of Des Moines, Iowa. Burial Notes: Elmwood Cemetery.

Arthur Gerald Bradley Lowe

On Friday, August 2, 1985 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Arthur Gerald Bradley Lowe, aged 73 years, beloved husband of Winifred Lowe of Winnipeg. Prayers will be held on Monday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at 2:30 p.m. also at the chapel, with Fr. Edward Lequiea O.M.I. officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Born in Winnipeg, April 10, 1912 to Louis and Mary Lowe, Art was raised and educated in the North end of Winnipeg. He married Winifred in 1949. At the time of his demise he was President of Branch No. 30's Oldtimers Club.

He was a contributing member of Canadian Armed Forces 100 Club, a master mason of Fort Prince of Wales Lodge (Churchill). He was also a member of the Ward 3 Baseball Association. In his retirement he remained active in curling and lawn bowling with the West Kildonan Seniors Recreation Club. Buried: Elmwood Cemetery.

5. Elsie Kathleen Lowe, b. 1915 in Winnipeg, MB d. 1996 in Des Moines, IA, USA. Elsie married Stanley Chesowsky.
