Presbyterian Church. Susan was b. abt. 1875 and d. 22 Nov 1897 in the residence
of her father-in-law, E.C. Matthews, aged 22. She was the daughter of James
and Isabell (MacCollum) Thomson / Thompson of Rosebank, Lot 5. Susan is
buried in Old Dock Cemetery, Cascumpec.

He was a school teacher earning $255 a year in 1901. He served as Alberton High School principal from 1901 to 1902. Allan was also Inspector of Schools for Prince County and was Professor of English at Prince of Wales College for a time. In 1909 he went to British Columbia, where he became principal of Kamloops High School, then Inspector of Schools for Kamloops district, and after retirement a member of Kamloops School Board. At the time of his retirement in 1952, Kamloops Elementary School was renamed in his honor.
