Humboldt, MN Places of Interest in the 1930's

Great Northern Railway Depot (Anthony J. Merck was theagent)

Grain Elevator (Ralph Kempf was the Manager assisted byMcEwen)

Florence Store (James Florance and Mayme Jury lived upstairs)

Post Office (In the rear of the Florence store)

Tom Brown's Shell Station and Lumberyard

McCollum's Blacksmith Shop (Just south of Brown's Shellstation)

Andy Blodgett's Restaurant

Ben Balderston's Restuarant

Irving Store (Had wooden planks in front for sidewalk)

Automotive repair shop north across the street from Blodgett'srestaurant and adjacent to Irving's Store on the east.

Humboldt School - The 1st & 2nd grades were in thefront left room on the 1st floor as you were facing the building. Grades3-4-5 were in the back room and grades 6-7-8 were in the front right roomon the 1st floor. There was a laboratory of sorts in the back right room.The High School and auditorium were on the 2nd floor along with the principal'soffice. Would like to get the names of all of the Humboldt High School graduatingclasses to add to the site.
