Stewart, Roy
B: 17 Apr 1894, Prince Edward Island, Canada
D: 27 Mar 1960, age 65, cerebral hemorrhage
M: 19 Nov 1913, Aneata Diamond b. 05 May 1897 d. 04 Aug 1976 due to heart failure, dau of Amelia and James Diamond.

FN: Daniel Stewart
MN: Unknown. Died when Roy was a young boy and, after a time, Daniel remarried and the family scattered. It is supposed that Roy had three sisters and two brothers.

Roy left home at 15, leaving a note, boarding a freighter bound for the U. S. He landed in McPherson, Manitoba and found work with an elderly couple. He made his home there for the next few years. He then crossed into the United States and met his older brother, Bruce, who had migrated to the Northwest a number of years before. He secured work on the Hill Farm for the next few years. Roy was of Scotch descent and Aneata Diamond was of English-Irish descent per Lois Stewart. A Kittson County Enterprise article in 1895 reported that William Stewart, brother of R. H. Stewart, came from Manchester, England but this is not to imply that he was born there or if "R. H." was Roy.
