Alma Finney

Alma Finney, St. Vincent, died at her home Wednesday, May 18, 1994.

Alma Walters was born Dec. 10, 1919 at Emerson, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Emil and Ida (Schultz) Walters. She grew up at Emerson and attended school.

On March 21, 1944, she was united in marriage to Willis Finney at Hallock. The couple farmed west of Northcote until 1971 when they moved to St. Vincent. Willis died on November 24, 1986.

Alma was a member of the Humboldt Methodist Church and served as secr3etary/treasurer ofthe Sunday School for several years.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Robert Olson, St. Simons Island, GA; Joyce and Bryan Lofberg, Mt. Holly, NJ; and Norma and Judson Nelson, Lancaster; six grandchildren; two sisters, Ann (Mrs. Kalvin) Sylvester, Hallock; and Bertha Schwark, Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and two brothers, Ted and Paul Walters, Morris, Manitoba, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ida; her husband, Willis; and three brothers, Bill, Stanley and Albert.

Funeral services were held May 24, 1994 in the Humboldt Methodist Church.

Interment was in the Joe River Cemetery.

The Hughes Funeral Home, Hallock, was in charge of arrangements.
