Getting Started... find your family History

Many articles are appearing in "The Family Tree"  and "Family Chronicle" magazine with tips and how to get started in your search for your family roots. Many book stores in their reference centers have books on how to get started.

St. Cloud Area Genealogist's has a set of "Hopefully, Helpful Hints" papers that you may download for you work sheet on starting hints.

For other reading, many books are being published.  There are hard copies and paper backs.  Check out libraries and book stores.  See the list at the end of HHH page

It is recommended that you start with you.

Identify (write them on a Family Group Sheet hard copy and transfer to a software package.): for each person that you are searching for with.

Then

1.     Your parents
2.     Your grandparents
3.     Your great grand parents
4.     etc....
