SUCCESSFUL RESEARCH IN
NORWAY
JEAN MARTHALER will tell us about her success in locating ancestors,
cousins, and farms in Norway. Jean uses Norwegian genealogy
websites, books, and other researchers to “fill in” her genealogy
line through great grandparents. Her ancestral places in Norway are:
Smola in More og Romsdal, Hegra in Nord Trondelag, Nord Aurdal in
Oppland, Voss in Hordaland, and Kongsvinger in Hedmark. Jean
continually helps people with Norwegian ancestors to find the
appropriate information for their family. She now owns quite a
library of resources. She helped organize a tour to Norway in June
and assisted other tour members in locating their ancestral homes
and in setting up visits with cousins. You will enjoy hearing this
very successful researcher!
