Do you have a website that includes ancestors who lived in Scott County, Minnesota at one time? If you would like others to find your page please send me a brief description of your site, the surnames that have Scott County connections, and the link to your site and I will add it to the list below.
|THE WINKER FAMILY SITE is a history of my ancestors and includes
surnames: WINKER, LUX, FEUERSTEIN, GOERGER,
I have a little on the PETERS who lived in Scott County as Nicholas Peters married Theresia Lux and they lived out their lives in (I think) Helena
Twp. and are buried at St. Benedicts. Most of what I have came from a man named Tom Trapp. August Lux married Catherina Peters presumably the
sister of Nicholas. http://www.winker.net/lux/lux_florian.htm or Homepage For information contact Tim Winker Tim@Winker.net
This site contains research on
my father's family the HOFFMANS of Germany and my Mother's family
the TREMBATHS from Cornwall, UK.
Johann Hoffman immigrated to Scott County Minnesota in the 1850's from Wallersheim Germany. Christian Busch came from Blatzheim Germany by way of Wisconsin and farmed at St. Benedict in Scott County. Other surnames from my father's side of the family are Ripp, Beusch, Boentgen, Wingels, Etten, Kramerath, Horsch and Pfreundschuh.
Presto Trembath of Mousehole, Cornwall immigrated to Negaunee, Michigan just after 1900 and was engaged in mining, farming and owning a small family dairy business. Other names include Richards, Waters, Barnes and Tonkin.
Also included here is a shorter family tree for my wife's family the CONROYS and FLAHERTYS of Ireland who came to Minnesota in the 1880s to work on the railroads.
