Pete Oscar Johnson, 85, formerly of 3829 W. 5th St. died Sunday in a Duluth
hospital. He was born in Smoland, Sweden and had been a Duluth resident for
65 years. He was employed as a blacksmith at Interlake Iron for 43 years,
retiring in 1956. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1478.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy (Everett) Olson, Duluth, and Edith
(David) Johnson, Oxon Hill, MD; a brother, John Persson, Lackeby, Sweden; a
grandson and three great-grandchildren.
