Servas Doll arrived in America in 1876,coming from Neiderzissen, Germany. He homesteaded in Dollymount Township, 4 miles E. and 1 mile S. of Dumont. When Dumonts building boom began Servas built a building that housed a saloon. He and his son Joe operated this business until Servas death in 1917. His first wife Gertruda died in 1878 his second wife Gertrude, June 1,1963.
