Membership
Eligibility Criteria
Membership is available to women who are able to:
- Document lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who, between 1784-1815:
- Rendered civil, military or naval service to the United State of America,
- Rendered material aid to the US Army or Navy, or
- Participated in the Lewis & Clark "Corps of Discovery" Expedition;
- Document proof of ancestor's service to the USA; and
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age. (Junior Membership: Birth-21).

Acceptable Service
1784 - 1815
(Close of Revolutionary War - Close of War of 1812)
- Civil Serice Capacities:
- Signer of the Oath of Allegiance or the Loyalty Test;
- State, town or county official, or juror;
- Member of the Continental or Federal Congress, or a member of the State Assembly or Legislature of one of the first 18 states;
- Delegate to the Convention that framed the United States Constitution;
- Member of a State Convention that ratified the United States Constitution;
- Elector of one of he first four Presidents of the United States;
- Legistalive, executive or judicial officer of the United States government, including such appointive officers as Treaty Commissioners, etc.
- Military or Naval Service in the Following Insurections, Wars or Capacities:
- Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania (1784-1787)
- Shay's Rebellion, Massachusetts (1786-1787)
- War with Indians (1784-1815)
- Whiskey Insurrection, Pennsylvania (1794)
- War with France [undeclared] (1798-1800)
- Sabine Expedition, Louisiana (1806)
- British warship Leopard attack upon the USS Frigate Chesapeake (1807)
- Lake Champlain embargo troubles (1808)
- Engagement between the USS Frigate President and HMS Little Belt (1811)
- Expedition against Jean Lafitte's Pirates (1814)
- Wars with the Barbary Powers (1801-1805, 1815)
- War with Great Britain (1812-1815)
- The Creek War (4 October 1814 - 24 January 1815)
- Jean Lafitte's Aides to General Andrew Jackson (1815)
- Local or state militia service (1784-1815)
- Giving material aid to the US Army or Navy
- Lewis & Clark Expedition- "Corps of Discovery" (1804-1806)
